Equal Opportunities
Introduction
TPA (The Company) is fully committed to achieving equality of opportunity as an employer and a service supplier/contractor.
This policy document sets out what is exactly meant by commitment and how this is put into practice by the company.
The Policy
The equal opportunity policy is relevant to our current position and situation as a service supplier and will be reviewed and adapted on a regular basis subject to development changes, legislation, and best practice.
TPA will:
- Ensure that no employee is discriminated against or treated any less favourably on the grounds of their gender, race, colour, nationality, ethnic origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, age, or religious beliefs.
- Encourage all employees to promote equal opportunities and challenge any form of victimisation, discrimination and harassment.
- Recognise diversity and value the role in partnership working.
- Treat every job applicant fairly.
- Encourage and deliver training and development for all.
- Present fair opportunities for promotion for all.
- Ensure that our equal opportunities underpin all aspects of employment, policy, and practice. This applies to recruitment and selection, training, promotion, transfers, pay and benefits, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Follow the commission for racial equality, equal opportunities commission and disability rights code of practice.
- Undertake regular monitoring of our employees and report our findings to the board.
- Provide a procedure to deal fairly with complaints or appeals.
